Earlier this month I was very lucky to talk to Jim Brody from TripAdvisor who agreed to answer some questions that our Australian tourism operators have about the website.
Jim Brody is an expert Internet tourism marketer and the Senior International Sales Manager of Destination Marketing at TripAdvisor. I’ve had the pleasure to meet Jim at a recent tourism conference in Auckland, New Zealand and was very keen to organize this interview to help all Australian and Asia Pacific tourism operators to get the most of TripAdvisor. On a personal note, I’ve always enjoyed listening to Jim’s marketing insight and if you don’t mind me saying, Jim, you are someone I would never ever get tired of listening to.
Below are the questions Jim kindly answered to help our Australian tourism operators
- What TripAdvisor really is and how can it help Australian and New Zealand small tourism businesses
- How many Australian travellers use TripAdvisor?
- How many Australian businesses are listed on TripAdvisor?
- Is it really worthwhile having the TripAdvisor widget installed on my tourism website?
- Should tourism operators purchase the paid TripAdvisor listing, what comes with it?
- Should tourism businesses respond to all TripAdvisor reviews?
- How can I make the most of my TripAdvisor listing?
- What are the 3 things every tourism operator needs to do to get the most of TripAdvisor?
- What does the future hold for TripAdvisor?
